- Caldwell Artist Celebrates Black History Month 2020 with a Powerful Art Show at Cedar BeansThis February, ‘Echoes of Africa Collection’ artwork by Yomi Karade, will be exhibited at Cedar Beans Coffee Joint, in Cedar Grove.
The Caldwell Resident, who studied various art forms in England and the USA, will showcase her bold and rich acrylic paintings from February 5 to March 2, 2020 at Cedar Beans.
Featured in her Echoes of Africa Collection are “Madiba “, a colorful piece of the late South African President, Nelson Mandela, and “Walking Home ” who was painted when Yomi worked and toured Ghana, West Africa over 20 years ago.
Although this is not Yomi’s first art exhibition, she has waited over 15 years to start exhibiting her work again.
Twenty Percent of all sales of artwork will go back to Cedar Bean’s. Cedar Bean’s will be taking all cumulative profits from 11 Gallery Nights throughout the year and awarding an ART Scholarship to a student from Cedar Grove High School in June 2020.
Yomi, originally from England has had her art exhibited in London, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and New York. She currently works as a personal trainer, and specializes in training adults and children with special needs under her program Inclusive Fitness Programs, I.F.P.
