See the new at the 35th annual Fine Art and Crafts at Anderson Park
Enter the creative world of fine art and fine craft by spending time at the 35th Annual Fine Art and Crafts at Essex County Anderson Park, September 15-16, from 10 am – 5 pm, rain or shine. Ask questions and learn what inspires the creative process of over 140 exhibitors.
Many new as well as veteran exhibitors will delight your senses. Be sure to visit the booth of fiber artist Jocelyn Galye Krodman, of PetitFelts, who crafts each of her pieces by hand-dying wool and using a technique called needle felting which then tangles the fibers of wool with a barbed needle in order to create wool sculpture. She strives to make animals that spring to life through their expressions and whimsical humor.
And don’t miss Su Shannon of Su Chi Pottery who describes her work as meant to soothe the soul and please the senses. Su explains: “Transforming spinning clay that whirls around the potters wheel captivates me.”
Co-sponsored by the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs and Rose Squared Productions, Inc., the free-to-the-public show will feature fine artists, photographers and artisans in glass, clay, clothing, leather, wood, jewelry, metal, mixed media and much more. A variety of food and specialty foods will be offered.
Anderson Park is located on the corner of North Mountain Avenue and Bellevue Avenue in Upper Montclair. The hours of the free event are 10am-5pm, rain or shine. For additional information visit: www.rosesquared.com
