Knitting with Textures! A Beginner-Friendly Workshop

Join Shanel Wu at the Creativity Caravan for an evening of knitting and experimenting with texture! This workshop is beginner-friendly and kid-friendly. Materials provided: needles, various yarns, finishing notions. At the end of the night, you could take away your bracelet, necklace, wall hanging, or whatever it turns out to be! Suggested donation: $20 per person.

If you have never knitted before, or need a refresher, the first 20-30 minutes will be dedicated to a beginning tutorial of knitting basics. The rest of the time is an open studio session for you to experiment with different yarns and textures to create a unique piece with just the basic stitch! At the end of the session, the instructor will help you finish the piece into a piece of jewelry, a wall hanging, or a decorative mat.
