Music in Montclair Series Presents: The Dorian Wind Quintet

March 26 The Dorian Wind Quintet, widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost wind ensembles and hailed by critics as “Breathtaking” (the London Times), “One of chamber music’s most sparkling and eloquent ensembles” (Time Magazine), will appear in Montclair’s beloved classical music series featuring works of contemporary living composers. On Sunday, March 26 the preeminent ensemble will present a program of fresh and dynamic new works composed and arranged specially for the Dorian, including the ensemble’s latest major commissioned wind quintet by NJ Council of the Arts Awardee, Amanda Harberg. Composers will be present to speak with the audience about their compositions. The Music in Montclair series is hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair, which aims to showcase the highest level of performances of powerful contemporary music to add meaning to people’s lives.
