November 12 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

With the 2020 Presidential race in full swing, the many facets of the election – polling, political parties, campaigns and the roles of interest groups – will take center stage at Montclair State University in a series of salon-style conversations hosted by Brigid Callahan Harrison, professor of Political Science and Law.

Elena Perez is an 18-year old student activist from Lyndhurst, NJ. She founded the Bergen County chapter of March for Our Lives after the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida and she now serves as the organization’s State Director of New Jersey. Perez is also an advocate for mental health awareness, women’s issues and racial and LGBTQ equality. When she is not organizing or lobbying, Elena enjoys reading and attending Broadway musicals.
