Summer Performance Conservatory (Ages 11-17)

by Luna Stage - February 19, 2019

Audition Now and Perform in a Professional Regional Theatre this Summer!

This four-week program allows performers ages 11-17 to build individual technique and learn about themselves as performers, explore their own abilities, and refine their skills. The program runs July 1-28. Admission is by audition only.

Those accepted will begin a focused rehearsal process of Ramon Esquivel's bilingual Spanish-English* play Luna, culminating in four public performances on Luna Theatre's MainStage as well as a week-long tour to summer programs and schools in surrounding communities.

Enrollment is limited to 15 performers. All participants are guaranteed speaking roles with substantial featured dialogue.

Voice and movement training, acting, physical theatre, improvisation, and ensemble work will be part of the daily curriculum.

Up to five additional slots are available for students interested in stagecraft, directing, technical theatre and stage management; please contact Luna Stage for more information about these opportunities.

*Familiarity with Spanish a plus but not required.

Auditions: Sunday, February 24 and Monday, February 25, 6-8pm

We strive to make our auditions welcoming, supportive, and fun! Please prepare a short monologue, joke, or song. Additionally, you will be asked to read a short scene provided at the audition.
